How to Start

Fostering a Cat

If you're not able to be a forever home for a cat, fostering one is the next best thing. When you foster a cat, you allow them to rest in a more comfortable location while they await their perfect home. Fostering a cat is a great way to support these loving felines. Call us today to volunteer.

Through our generous donors and amazing fosters, ANBAR is able to rescue severe medical cases and provide the assistance necessary for their survival. We believe that euthanasia should only be used as a humane last resort to prevent further animal suffering. ANBAR's ultimate mission is to give every rescue a new beginning. Every Saturday, A New Beginning Animal Rescue is hosting an adoption event from 12 to 4 at Petco in Layton, Utah. A dog or cat is waiting for you. Change their life –– and yours –– by bringing one of these animals into your home today!

We Speak For Those Who Cannot

in Northern Utah

A New Beginning Animal Rescue (ANBAR) is a foster-based rescue focused on providing cats and dogs loving temporary homes while awaiting their forever homes. ANBAR primarily focuses on the Weber/Davis County region, but we also accept transfers from throughout northern Utah and surrounding states. Our goal is to reduce unnecessary euthanasia rates and improve animal welfare through community building and public education on the mutual benefits of spay/neutering your animals and responsible pet ownership.

"A New Beginning helped me find the newest member of my family in September of last year! She's settled in well and has brought so many smiles with her silly, outgoing personality. I'm so very thankful I adopted her."

Alison Beck

"Thank you so much to the people at this organization. In less than 12 hrs, they rallied and found a foster home for a mama cat and her days-old babies that I found. Their compassion and willingness to do right by animals is amazing."

"We adopted our dog Winston from A New Beginning Animal Rescue in November of last year. The experience was amazing! The people were kind. Our dog is wonderful! He's very playful and gets along great with his new brother, Teddy, our Yorkshire terrier. I tell anyone looking for a new pet to go to you."

Barry Carr

"My family has been fostering for ANBAR for over a year now. We’ve had nothing but great experiences and look forward to fostering many more animals."
